Kendra Mansoff is returning to the soccer pitch for the 2022 season.

Mansoff (nee McKinney) is a Brandon product who graduated from Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School. She has a history with the Cougars, having played soccer in 2018 then futsal and soccer in 2019. A lively mid-field/striker, she was named to the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference All –Star team after the 2019 season. She also won the Cougars MVP award for futsal in 2018 and coach’s choice for soccer in 2019.

“I’m not exactly young anymore, but I am most definitely a more patient, calm, mature player now, and I hope to bring that to the field and team,” said Mansoff. “I’ve missed playing for the Cougars. So, when the chance to go back to school came up I jumped at the chance to play again.”

“Having been one of our top players in 2018/2019, Kendra brings years of experience playing competitive soccer, making herself a well-known athlete on southwestern Manitoba fields,” said co-coach Kate Broadhead. “Kendra has a great passion for soccer and it shows. Her dedication to training and perseverance in all situations makes her an exceptional athlete.”

Mansoff is no stranger to a busy schedule. While taking the education assistant program in 2018/2019 she was raising two boys, working part-time, playing for the Cougars and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 4.45. She will be taking the college’s medical administrative assistant program in the fall, with the goal of contributing to the success of our frontline workers within Prairie Mountain Health.
