Parking

Parking Permits and Availability

A limited amount of parking may be available on city streets near campus locations. However, students who park on private property near the college do so at their own risk.

Victoria Avenue East Campus

The Victoria Avenue East Campus parking lot contains staff, student & visitor stalls and is colour-coded accordingly. Any staff or student wishing to park in the lot must purchase and properly display a parking permit through the Registrar’s Office. Student parking must be ordered online. You can purchase parking starting July 4 for Fall 2023, Winter 2024 and Spring 2024. You will be notified when your permit is ready for pickup.

Purchase Online

Student parking is located in the white-fenced (electrical) and blue-fenced (non-electrical) areas. Depending on availability, you may park in either area. All student parking is sold on a scrambled basis; you will not be assigned a specific stall. Electrical stalls (for use of block heaters only) are temperature activated and will come on at -17°C and cycle on and off for 20 minutes.

Accessible Parking - Persons with temporary or permanent disabilities may use identified parking stalls within the lot free of charge. To qualify for a stall, the person should be eligible for and possess a Disabled Parking Permit which is issued by Manitoba Possible (formerly SMD) or an out of province equivalent.

Expectant Mothers - Persons who are expecting may use identified parking stalls within the lot. To qualify for a stall, the person must be expecting. Parking fees apply.

Motorcycle Parking Permits - Persons who travel my motorcycles or scooters will park within the designated student, staff, or visitor areas. Parking fees apply.

Evening Classes – No fee, scramble parking will prevail in the parking lot after 5:00 pm.

Visitor Parking – Paid visitor parking is available for guests at the college’s Victoria Avenue East campus in increments of 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 1 day. Please visit our Parking Information page for more information on where to park and how to obtain a valid visitor parking pass.

Replacement Permits - Lost and/or stolen parking permits must be reported to the Registrar’s Office. The cost of a replacement is $26.25. A replacement permit is free only if a police report is provided (not a security report).

Refunds - Parking is non-refundable.

Student & Visitor Parking - Limited parking is available for free in the scramble parking lot east of the building.

Staff Parking - Available in the same scramble lot. The two rows at the south end are for staff only. Staff must display valid parking permits.

Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts

Student Parking - Available for free in the scramble parking lot east of the building.

Staff & Visitor Parking - Available in the south lot. Staff must display valid parking permits.

The Parkland campus parking lot contains staff, student & visitor parking. You can purchase parking starting July 4 for Fall 2023, Winter 2024 and Spring 2024. You will be notified when your permit is ready for pickup.

Winnipeg Campus

There is limited free parking at the Winnipeg campus. All parking spaces are numbered but are not assigned unless marked as reserved or with a business name. Both the east and west parking lots offer electrical and non-electrical stalls, as well as parking for disabled persons displaying a valid permit.

Do not park in front of neighbouring businesses or in spaces marked reserved or your car will be towed. Assiniboine is not responsible for towed vehicles.

Student Parking - Students who have an access card for the student entrance should park on the west side of the building facing Border Street or directly in front of the college.

Visitor and Staff Parking - Visitor and staff parking is available on the east side of the building.
