LOGISTICS SPECIALIST
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the planning and movement of manufactured product from production completion to site delivery. The Logistics Specialist will liaise daily with Behlen Shipping, external vendors, carriers and customers to provide on time delivery to our broad international customer base. An astute orator, the Logistics Specialist will communicate with various internal departments on product availability, manufacturing completion, delivery requirements and coordinate intercompany material shipments.
Qualifications
This role requires:
• Minimum Grade XII or equivalent experience required; Business Administration Diploma strongly recommended
• Combinations of experience and relevant courses will also be considered.
• Three years experience in a related field
• Experience with shipping, receiving and coordinating large shipments with time sensitive deliveries would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is a requirement.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills; resourceful problem-solving skills are required
• Attention to detail, time and priority management are necessary for success.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapt to change and work under pressure
