Software Essentials for the Modern Educator (Update)I apologize for not keeping you up to date. The popularity of this page caught me by surprise. For people looking for Portable programs, that want to install them more than one at a time, or both, check the Liberkey, Lupo and WinPenPack packages I have been researching. Rather than reinvent the wheel, so to speak, I have adopted a number of Portable packages and supplemented them with PStart (Menu by PegTop) and PortableApps.com. Not only do they contain many of the programs on this page (Wink, Audacity, CCleaner, CDex). they contain many other PPP's (Popular Portable Programs) such as Filezilla, 7Zip, Autohotkey, NotePad++, Chromium, Rocket Dock, SIW, ThunderBird, Virtual Dub and many more. Although there are other systems available, these are the ones I found most useful and user friendly, so far. Be warned, the launcher for most Portable packages may not work from a hard drive or network drive. Use PStart, Rocket Dock etc. to setup a menu system if you are not installing to a USB memory stick. The
